Blog post 6: Print, silhouette and design detail analysis

Silhouette: 60s

The silhouette was inspired by 60s. From the 60s we used notched collar neck in the coat dress. The button up design from Gucci’s classic mixing the brand identity design to the 60s designs. High-waist pants from the 60s, pleated details, pencil skirt and two-piece sheath dress. Accessories gloves, socks and hats in 60s fashion included in the collection for AW 20/21.

Print: The ideas of infused east gardening echoed this contrast. Two main patterns from the macro tends.

Reve Chinos: Chinese calligraphy and Birds- a form of ink wash painting. Inspired by the historical dynasty of China. During Shang and Chou Dynasty, Chinese calligraphy has been a popular art for artist and intellectual used to express of ancient Chinese literati.

Ink Dynasty: The Chinese Calligraphic represent aesthetic and cultivating of a person, it’s a form of art. On the design details combine Gucci classic print and collar for a modern look. The selection of pieces themselves revolve around the theme of the century east and west, fashion, historical art element. Coat skirt, blazers, parkas, and jackets are stamped with the spirit of A/W 20/21.
